(I have a copy of Isabella's birth certificate, retrieved by A.V. when she began doing some family research in the 1980s, so we know the exact birth date.  The birth was registered inWeymouth, September 1853; there is no record of Isabella having been baptised, though most of her siblings were.)  (To check further)

[Isabella was listed in the 1871 census as living in Weston Village with her family.  The exact entry is : 
          Isabella Pearce; Daur [daughter]; Unmarried; 17; Dress Maker; Portland, Dorset.
So, it was between 1871 and 1879 that she moved to Bournemouth.]

Listed in 1861 census (District 5, entry 197), as living at Chesterfield House, Hamlet of Easton; tailor employing 1 man, 1 boy.
